About Tangerine Moonrise
The canvas splits into two bands. The upper third is flat tangerine orange, brushed thinly so a faint ripple of canvas weave shows through, with a single rounded white shape sitting left of centre like a low moon. Below, a wide ochre field rises in a soft dome, its top edge broken by pale flecks where the lighter paint catches the orange above. That lower band is thick with scratched marks, dragged lines and fine scored grooves that criss-cross like dry grass or raked earth.
The mood is quiet and elemental: two colours, one shape, and a lot of surface. It reads as a minimal horizon rather than a place, and the texture does most of the talking.
Suits warm, pared-back interiors: a white or sand-toned living room wall, a hallway above a timber console, or a bedroom over the bedhead. Pairs with rattan, linen in oatmeal and clay-coloured ceramics. The tangerine block lifts a neutral scheme, so keep surrounding decor simple and let the texture carry the wall.
