A large cream nautilus shell fills the centre of this square print, its brown flame-like stripes curling into a dark chestnut spiral. Behind it sits a soft wash of pale blue sky and cloud, layered with faint brown handwriting, dates and a textured, aged-paper surface.
On the right, a band of blue and white checks carries a small golden-brown scallop shell and fine dry reeds. A compass rose is drawn in the lower middle, a cream-sailed model boat sits at bottom left, and the word Nautilus runs in brown script across the base.
