About New Beginning
A pale cream path loops in a wide S-curve from the lower left edge of the canvas up through a sloping meadow of deep green grass. The grass is worked in fine directional strokes that fan outward, so the hillside reads as combed and windswept rather than flat. Beyond the meadow sits a band of rounded, lighter green shrubs, then a still sheet of water in soft lilac and white. A dark hedge of olive and violet trees closes the middle distance, with a faint hill and mauve sky above.
The mood is quiet and ordered, with the curving track drawing the eye slowly from foreground to the pale water. Texture is concentrated in the stippled foliage, while the sky and lake stay smooth and hazy.
Suits a hallway, stairwell or bedroom where a tall vertical wall needs calm rather than colour clash. The mauve sky and cream path sit well with grey linen, oatmeal upholstery and pale oak or walnut timber.
