About Bondi Beach Icebergs Pool
The view looks down from the southern headland over the Icebergs ocean pool at Bondi. The long rectangular pool sits in the lower left, its water a clear turquoise ruled by dark lane lines, with a few swimmers mid-lap and figures on the white concourse. A cream umbrella and a small pavilion edge the bottom corner. Beyond the pool wall, white surf boils over brown and black rocks, then runs north in broad foam lines toward the crowded sand and the low rooftops and towers of the suburb under a pale blue sky.
The mood is bright midday summer: hard sunlight, high contrast between the still pool and the churning ocean, and a wide horizon that keeps the whole bay in view.
