Two timber rowboats sit side by side on pale sand in the lower left of the scene. One has a green and red hull, the other is yellow with a red interior and coiled rope on its side. A wooden post with rope tied around it stands in the sand nearby, and a small white seabird flies low over the wet shore.
Behind the boats, turquoise water rolls in with white-capped waves under a blue sky with soft cumulus clouds. A curved headland on the right carries tall, leaning palm trees, green shrubs and a few purple flowers. A palm frond hangs in at the top left, and long palm shadows fall across the foreground sand. It reads as a detailed, realistic painting-style artwork.
