About Palm Frond II
A single palm frond enters from the lower left corner and arches up and across the top right of the canvas, its narrow leaflets fanning out like fingers. Each leaflet is built from layered greens, from deep emerald through sage and pale mint, with flecks and streaks of white and olive that give them a cut-paper, collage-like edge. The background is a flat turquoise blue, brushed unevenly so faint vertical streaks and lighter patches show through, leaving the lower half of the picture almost empty.
The character is calm and graphic: one bold botanical shape set against open aqua space, with enough texture in the leaves and the blue wash to keep it from looking flat. It reads as a coastal, tropical image rather than a botanical study.
Suits beach houses, bathrooms and bedrooms where the blue picks up tiled or coastal tones. Works above a bed, a hallway console or beside a shower screen.
