About Palm IV
A single fan palm frond fills the centre of a plain white field. The leaf opens from a narrow point at the base into a wide semicircle of long, pointed blades, each one tapering to a fine tip so the outer edge reads as a row of spikes. Colour shifts across the fan from deep forest green through mid olive to pale lime and soft cream, with watery patches where pigment has pooled and dried unevenly. Fine radiating ribs run from the stem out to every blade tip.
The stem drops straight down below the leaf, grey-green and lightly bristled with short spines along both sides. Nothing else appears in the frame, so the shape and the mottled wash of greens carry the whole image. The character is quiet and botanical: a specimen study with loose watercolour edges rather than a crisp scientific drawing.
Suits coastal and beach house interiors, bedrooms with linen bedding, a home office wall, or a living room with rattan and timber furniture. Works well against white or pale sage walls, and pairs naturally with other single-leaf botanical prints hung as a set of two or three above a sideboard or bedhead.
