About Pastel Field
The lower half is built from dense upright strokes of cobalt and navy that read as tall grasses, with fine stems flicked upward into a warmer band of apricot, cream and yellow. Above that, the sky softens from pale blue at the edges to a washed white glow through the centre, as though light is burning through haze. Scattered dots of yellow, pink, red and turquoise sit across the mid band like tiny flower heads, and larger blurred white circles drift over the surface like seed heads caught out of focus.
The paint is applied thinly in washes with flicked, splattered and dragged marks on top, so the meadow edge stays loose rather than drawn. Its character is quiet and atmospheric, a field seen at the moment light floods it.
Suits a bedroom above the bedhead, a calm living room, or a hallway that needs depth without pattern. The cobalt base works with white and pale grey walls, oak or rattan furniture, linen bedding and blue-toned rugs. Hang it where morning light can reach the pale sky section.
