About Watercolour Pineapple
A single pineapple sits centred on a plain white ground, drawn in loose watercolour washes with no outline or background detail. The rounded body is a soft lemon yellow that pools darker at the edges and fades pale through the middle, with small white triangles and dashes left unpainted to suggest the fruit's diamond skin. Streaks of olive and sage run down the lower left side. Above it, six broad leaves fan out in two greens, a deep forest tone over a brighter grass green, each stroke tapering to a point.
The character is quick and casual, closer to a spontaneous sketch than a botanical study. The washes bleed and vary in strength, so the fruit reads as cheerful and simple rather than precise, which suits a light-hearted wall.
Works in a kitchen, breakfast nook or dining wall where white and timber dominate, and it is an easy choice for a child's room or playroom. Pair it with other fruit or food prints in a grid, or hang one larger square alone above a sideboard, bench or bedhead against a white wall.
