About City View II
A cluster of simplified tower blocks fills the upper half of this portrait composition, set against a mottled cream and pale beige sky. The buildings are flat geometric slabs in mustard ochre, warm brown, grey and muted teal, with a slim spired tower near the centre and a low domed roof at the right edge. A horizontal band of dark teal runs beneath the skyline, marking the waterline, where the city stops and the reflection begins.
Below that line the same towers repeat as soft vertical streaks in green-teal, aqua, rust and pale grey, blurred and drawn downward as if pulled by the water. Scratched, scumbled surface marks and dry, layered colour give the whole scene a weathered look. The character is calm and slightly faded, a quiet skyline reduced to blocks of colour rather than detail.
Suits a living room, dining room or bedroom with cream, sand or grey walls, and works in beach house and coastal-contemporary rooms.
