A photograph of a desert at sunset. Three tall saguaro cacti rise in the right foreground, the tallest with two upturned arms, while two more stand further left on the slope. Behind them a jagged ridge of rust-red rock rises from the scrub, with a flatter-topped mesa running off to the right.
Low sun lights the rock face in deep orange and red, and the foreground shrubs glow gold and amber against green cactus skin. Above, the sky shifts from pale blue to soft pink and grey clouds that drift across the upper half. The sharp focus keeps the cactus spines, rock fissures and dry grasses crisp.
