About Sea of Hope
A wide panoramic view across a flat beach at low tide. The horizon sits just above centre, marked by three or four thin dark bands where small waves break and run out. Below them a broad sheet of wet sand mirrors the sky in soft grey and pale blue, broken by a patch of aqua reflection at lower left and by scattered dark pebbles and clumps of weed. The upper half is a washed blue sky with long, streaked cloud drawn out horizontally toward the right edge.
The mood is quiet and cool, with almost no strong contrast: everything is held in pale blue, silver-grey and wet charcoal. It reads as a calm, near-abstract band of sky, water and sand rather than a detailed landscape.

The cool blue-grey palette works with white walls, linen bedding, pale timber and woven baskets, and it sits comfortably in beach house interiors or a calm home office.
