About Spring Distressed II
Broad rectangular blocks of colour sit side by side across this landscape abstract, built up in dragged, scraped layers that let lower tones show through. Deep navy anchors the upper left and a wide vertical band near the centre, with cooler aqua and steel blue to the right. Blush pink and dusty rose fill the outer edges, while chalky white and grey open out the middle. A thin copper line draws a large circle across the left half, with a second faint arc and a ruled horizontal line crossing near the centre.
The finish looks worn and weathered, with hairline streaks, mottled patches and a few short black marks at the top adding grit. It reads as calm and modern, soft in colour but graphic in the way the blocks and the copper geometry cut across each other.
Suits a living room above a low sofa, a main bedroom over the bedhead, or a home office wall that needs colour without noise.
