About Surf Line Up
Seven figures stand shoulder to shoulder across the lower two thirds of a square, cream background. Behind them, seven longboards are stood on end in a row: pale aqua, cobalt blue, yellow with a white stripe, tall red-orange, mint green, deep crimson and dark teal. The swimmers wear simple togs in red, aqua, pink, orange and blue board shorts, their skin blocked in warm tans and browns. Faces are left almost featureless, suggested with a few soft strokes of shadow.
The mood is relaxed and sunlit, with flat colour shapes and visible streaky texture through the boards giving it a casual, poster-like feel. It reads as a group of friends squinting into the light at the end of a beach day.
Suits a beach house hallway, a kids' or teen bedroom, or a living room with white walls and timber floors. Pairs with rattan furniture, striped cushions and other coastal prints.
