About Stay Salty Beach Chairs
A square watercolour scene looks out to the water from the top of a beach. Two mint green Adirondack chairs sit side by side on apricot sand, their slatted backs and wide armrests drawn in loose washes with soft shadows falling to the left. A band of pale turquoise sea sits behind them, streaked horizontally and flecked with tiny white spatters. Palm trees frame both edges, with slim tan trunks and fronds in olive and grey green. The words Stay Salty are lettered in soft blue script across a sky of white cloud washes.
The character is relaxed and airy. Pigment pools and dry-brush streaks are visible in the sand and water, the paper white shows through the clouds, and nothing is tightly outlined, giving the scene the feel of a quick holiday sketch rather than a detailed view.
Suits a beach house hallway, a bathroom, a child's room or a bright living room with white or pale timber walls. Pairs with rattan, linen and whitewashed furniture, and sits well beside other coastal watercolours in the same square format above a console or a bed.
