About Surfs Up Pattern VIII
Six surfboards stand upright across a square, sandy-tan ground marked with fine vertical grain lines and small pale flecks. Two long cream boards with soft white outlines sit at the centre left and centre right, one washed with teal along its edge, the other tinted rose. Between and beside them are mint and seafoam boards with thin blue and green centre stripes, plus two blush pink boards striped in white and teal. The top row shows only the nose tips of partly cropped boards.
Colours are laid down as translucent watercolour washes, so each board fades from a deeper tone at one end to almost bare sand at the other, with visible bloom edges where the pigment pooled. A small signature sits in the lower right corner. The overall character is light, playful and summery, closer to a surf shop poster than a seascape.
Works in a beach house hallway, a kids' or teen bedroom, a bathroom with white tiles and timber, or a relaxed living room. Pairs with rattan, light oak and linen, and sits well beside other prints from the same surfboard series as a square pair or trio above a bed or bench.
