About The Dress
Four dresses hang from thin wire hangers on a single grey rail near the top of the canvas. The centre dress leads: a fitted red bodice above a full skirt scattered with dabs of crimson, magenta and pink over white. To its left is a black dress with a soft sash, and behind it a pale grey gown blurred into the wall. On the right, a black bodice sits above a tulle skirt flecked with gold and ochre strokes. The background is brushed in broad vertical greys and white.
