About The Sunset
A portrait-format watercolour landscape built from horizontal bands on a pale cream ground. A thin wash of cobalt blue runs across the top edge, then a wide stripe of rose pink and coral marks the horizon, broken by faint violet and mauve smudges suggesting distant hills. Below it a band of olive and moss green forms a treeline, with small dark verticals reading as trunks against the field. Underneath, streaks of brown, tan and khaki blend into a broad apricot and salmon wash that fades out before reaching the lower edge.
The paper texture shows through everywhere, with visible water lines, bleeding edges and dry-brush gaps where one colour stops short of the next. Nothing is outlined; the shapes hold together only by tone. A small signature sits in the lower right corner. The mood is quiet and unhurried, a landscape reduced to colour and light rather than detail, warm at the centre and left open at the edges so the cream ground acts as air around the scene.
Suits bedrooms, living rooms and bathrooms with pale walls, linen bedding and timber furniture. The blush and olive palette works alongside rattan, brass lamps and cream ceramics, and it calms a home office or hallway. Hang one above a bedhead or console, or pair two sizes for a soft vertical arrangement.
