About Tree Of Light
A single tree stands centred on a square canvas, its slender trunk splitting into fine tan branches that fan across the upper two thirds of the image. Instead of leaves, the canopy is made from hundreds of flat circles and open rings in teal, navy, deep red, olive, mustard, cream and metallic gold, layered at different sizes so they overlap and cluster densely near the centre. Behind them the background is a soft sandy beige, brushed and mottled, which fades into a pale sky-blue band at the horizon line.
The lower strip of the picture is a green and gold field marked with a repeating row of oval scroll shapes, like a decorative border. The overall surface has a worn, scumbled look with visible texture and muted edges. Its character is cheerful but restrained: playful confetti colour held together by warm neutral ground and a calm, almost faded backdrop.
Works above a bed, in a nursery or kids' room, or on a hallway wall where its square shape suits a single-print hang. The beige and gold ground sits well with timber furniture, rattan and linen, while the teal and red dots pick up cushions, rugs and books in a family living room.
