About Type Mic Grey
A tall, narrow composition holds a single retro broadcast microphone against a flat concrete-grey background with a scuffed, chalky border running down both edges. The mic's rounded head and ribbed grille are made entirely from stacked black lettering, with words such as MIC, ROCK, LOVE MUSIC, RADIO and AMPLIFY sized to form the curves and horizontal bars. The stand below narrows into a long vertical column of tightly packed capitals reading LIVE THE DREAM, ROCK N ROLL and AMPLIFY, running the full drop of the panel.
The grey ground carries faint mottling and patchy wear, like a painted wall or pressed cement sheet, which softens the crisp black type. A small signature block sits in the lower right corner. The character is graphic and understated: a music-themed poster that reads as texture and shape from across the room, then resolves into hundreds of readable words up close.
Suits a narrow wall between doorways, a stairwell, or the strip beside a bookcase. Works in a home office, teenager's bedroom, media room or hallway with grey, concrete or timber surfaces.
