About Water Drop on Petal
A macro photograph fills the frame with the overlapping petals of a pink gerbera-like flower. Blush and coral tones run through the petals, fading into soft mint and sage green at the upper right and lower left. Balanced near the centre, one clear water droplet rests on the thin white edge of a curved petal, sharp against everything around it, with a small teal and dark blue reflection caught inside its rounded surface. A pale yellow glow sits at the left edge.
Depth of field is very shallow, so only the droplet and the petal rim it sits on are crisp; the rest dissolves into smooth gradients with no hard lines anywhere. The character is quiet and weightless, a small still moment of colour and light rather than a bold statement piece.
Suits bedrooms, ensuites and bathrooms where the soft pink and green tones sit well with white tiles, timber and linen. Works in a ladies' room, hallway or reading nook, and pairs with pale timber furniture, ceramic vases and other close-up nature prints. The wide format suits the space above a bedhead or a low console. Browse more green art, multi-coloured art, or read Art above the bed: what size and how high.
