About World of Red II
The canvas is divided into a few large, simple shapes. A broad burnt-orange curve sweeps across the lower two thirds, its surface combed with fine vertical strokes that let deeper red show through near the left edge. Above it sits a warm taupe panel on the left, thickly textured with raised leaf-like marks pressed into the paint. To its right a narrow pale cream wedge tapers upward, almost metallic in sheen, outlined by a thin dark line and set against a flat sand-coloured ground.
Thin charcoal-coloured lines trace the borders where the shapes meet, keeping the edges crisp against the soft colour fields. The character is quiet and architectural: warm, grounded colour with just enough surface relief to catch side light.
Suits a warm neutral living room, a hallway with timber floors, or above a sideboard in taupe or stone. Works with linen upholstery, leather, terracotta pots and brass or bronze fittings.
