About Shattered Light Rosella
An eastern rosella sits side-on near the centre of a black background, perched on a thick, moss-covered branch that runs across the lower third of the image. The bird's head and breast are deep red with white cheek patches, its shoulders scaled black and yellow, the wing coverts bright cobalt blue, the belly and rump lime green, and the long tail tipped in blue and teal. Behind and around the bird, shards of gold and white light break outward like scattered glass fragments.
The mood is dark and theatrical: a familiar Australian parrot lifted out of nature and rebuilt from light, with a small burst of red shattering above its head.
Works in a home office, study or gentleman's room where the black background can sit against white, charcoal or timber-panelled walls. Good above a dark desk, a leather chair or a bedhead.
