About Banana Leaf I
A bright lemon-yellow background fills the whole sheet, and across it sweep four or five broad banana leaf blades cropped by the edges of the frame. The largest curves down from the upper left in dark forest green, its blade folding over a band of grey-sage that reads like the underside of the leaf. Below it a paler lime blade angles to the right, streaked with fine horizontal striations. On the right side a stem carries two more leaves, one lifting off the top edge, one dropping to the bottom corner.
The greens are laid down in flat, slightly translucent layers so the yellow glows through in places, and the edges are cut clean rather than softly blended. The character is graphic and sunny: a simple tropical shape treated as bold colour blocking rather than a detailed botanical drawing.
Suits bright bathrooms, kitchens and beach house hallways where a jolt of colour works. Good in a kids room or a home office above a white desk. Pairs with rattan, pale timber, white tiles and plain linen, and sits well beside other botanical prints or a real monstera in a terracotta pot.
