About Beauty Brushes
Three makeup brushes stand upright on a clean white ground, arranged shortest at the right and tallest through the centre. The left brush has a wide, rounded black powder head with loose ink strokes fanning outward; the middle brush is a denser, flat-topped blend of black; the right brush is a small angled liner with a short chisel tip. Each has a silver-grey ferrule drawn in wet grey washes with a thin dark band at its base, then a bright crimson handle streaked with lighter red where the pigment thins.
The brushes cast small, soft grey shadows to the lower right, which is the only element anchoring them to a surface. Nothing else fills the frame, so the white space around the group is generous and the red handles read as the single point of colour. The character is light and graphic, with a loose, quickly drawn line that keeps the illustration friendly rather than technical.
Suits a bathroom, dressing area or walk-in robe above a vanity, and works in a bedroom corner set up for makeup. The white ground sits well against pale walls, marble benchtops and chrome tapware. Pair it with other fashion illustrations, a red-toned print or a simple black-framed mirror. Browse more contemporary art, silver and grey art, or read Art above the bed: what size and how high.
