About Bend II
A square abstract built from open circles and broad chevron bands. Three or four rings sit across the surface: a small dark teal circle upper left, a large indigo ring cropped by the right edge, a sweeping blue arc through the centre, and a wide soft-teal ring low in the middle. Behind them, angled chevrons in sand beige, pale grey and washed white step diagonally across the canvas. The background reads as a chalky, scraped wall with mottled patches and fine scratched lines.
The overall character is calm and weathered rather than graphic, with the blues carrying the eye in a loose circuit around a faded neutral ground. It is quiet abstraction, closer to a marked plaster surface than to hard-edged geometry.
Suits a bedroom above a bed head, a living room over a low sideboard, or a home office wall behind a desk. The sandy beige and chalky white sit easily with oak, rattan and linen, while the teal and indigo rings pick up navy cushions, grey upholstery or blue ceramics. Works well as a pair in a hallway.
