A single large flower fills almost the whole square, seen face-on. Its petals shift from deep burgundy and wine near the centre to soft rose and pale pink at the outer edges. The edges bleed and blur like wet pigment, while some petals show visible brush marks and a thicker, more opaque texture.
A small cluster of gold-yellow stamens sits at the dark heart of the bloom. Slim grey-brown stems curve down to the right, with translucent taupe leaves marked by darker mottling. The background is a warm cream with faint soft clouding, which leaves the flower with plenty of clear space around it.
