Lower blocks on both edges repeat the same rust and burnt-red patches against pale grey haze. Behind them the skyline dissolves into scraped off-white and soft beige, so distant buildings read only as vertical smudges of light.

The lower third is a broad grey-brown road, swept with long horizontal knife strokes and flicks of white that suggest wet bitumen and reflected headlights. Small dabs of black, orange and white at the base of the buildings stand in for traffic and shopfront glow. The paint sits thick and ridged, catching real light across the surface.
