About Coffee Talk II
A single cup and saucer sits centred on a flat chocolate-brown ground, formed entirely from small words set in cream and pale beige type. The words cluster tightly to build the bowl of the cup, the curved handle on the right and the wide saucer beneath it, with the lettering thinning towards the edges so the shape softens into the background. Above the rim, three ribbons of steam curl upward, also made of type. Readable words include java, cappuccino, dark roast, revive, buzz, demitasse, wake-up and good morning.
The character is warm and graphic: no shading, no outline, just typography doing the drawing. Mixed type sizes give the cup its light and shade, while the deep brown ground reads like roasted coffee and keeps the cream lettering crisp and easy to read from across a room.
Made for kitchens, breakfast nooks and dining walls, especially above a coffee machine, sideboard or café-style bar. The chocolate ground sits well with timber cabinetry, brass or copper fittings, cream tiles and rattan stools.
