About Colourful Zebra Pair
Two zebras fill a square white field, heads tilted together so the ears and manes almost touch. The zebra on the left is worked in orange, yellow and red, with a scarlet splatter bursting from its mane. The zebra on the right faces forward, its mane a spray of magenta spikes, its muzzle shaded grey and tan. Stripes run down both necks and shift colour as they fall, from pink and violet into cobalt, indigo and a band of green at the centre.
The artwork keeps the watercolour character of the original: soft bleeds, dry-edged stripes and loose flicks of pigment scattered across the upper corners. The eyes are the only carefully drawn detail, dark and calm against all the colour. It reads as cheerful and energetic rather than realistic, a decorative animal portrait built almost entirely from stripes and spatter.
Works well in a child's room or a teenager's bedroom, and holds its own in a living room with white or pale grey walls. It suits beach house interiors, playrooms and home offices that need one bright focal point. Pair it with plain timber furniture, rattan baskets and cushions picking up the magenta or teal.
