About Dreamland
A loose watercolour wash floats in the centre of a warm white ground, leaving wide empty margins on all four sides. The upper half is a broad cornflower blue pool with softer lilac edges, feathering out into pale tendrils. Below it, turquoise and yellow-green seep through the blue where the washes overlap, and a patch of dull violet sits to the lower left. Ragged, dry-edged strokes break the bottom into fingers of pale blue. A scatter of small dark ink specks sits near the top right.
There is no fixed subject here, only the way one colour runs into the next: granulated blue settling into paper texture, soft bloomed edges, and small white gaps left untouched. The character is quiet and airy, with just enough turquoise and violet to keep it from reading as a single flat colour. A faint signature appears at the lower right.
Suits bedrooms, bathrooms and beach house hallways where the walls are white, off-white or pale grey. It works above a bedhead, beside a mirror or over a console. Pair with linen bedding, rattan, light oak and brushed nickel, and keep nearby accents in the same blue and violet range.
