About Fast Moving Train I
A yellow-nosed passenger train cuts diagonally across the frame from the upper right toward the lower left, its cab windscreen dark and its headlights lit. Only the front carriage holds detail: the rounded yellow driver's cab, silver bodywork and a row of side windows. Everything else is pulled into motion blur. The rail bed on the right streaks into long brown and rust lines, the embankment grass smears into bands of bright green, and a strip of yellow vegetation runs behind the carriages. Patches of blue sky and white cloud dissolve at the top left.
The character of the image is pure speed captured in a single frame. The camera has tracked with the train, so the machine reads solid and near while the landscape around it tears past in liquid streaks of colour.
Suits a home office, media room or hallway where you want one strong focal image. It works well in a kids' or teen bedroom with a transport theme, and sits comfortably against white or grey walls, timber desks and black steel shelving. Pair it with another transport or motion photograph for a two-piece wall. Browse more green art, yellow art, brown and earthy art, or read Art above the bed: what size and how high.
