About Femme II
A woman rides a powder-blue vintage scooter straight towards the viewer, filling most of the portrait frame. She wears a sleeveless pale pink shirt dress with a collar, a lilac belt, pink cat-eye sunglasses and a high brown beehive updo, with one white heeled shoe resting on the footboard. The scooter shows a round headlight, chrome handlebars, a black seat and a whitewall front tyre. Behind her, flat rectangles of cornflower blue, periwinkle, butter yellow and white are stacked like city blocks, split by a thin black horizontal line.
The mood is light and graphic: crisp flat colour, clean edges and a smooth surface with only faint canvas weave showing. It reads as a mid-century travel poster brought up to date, confident and cheerful rather than nostalgic.
