About Flower of Love
A single pink gerbera daisy sits in the upper right of this square photograph, its many narrow petals radiating from a dark centre ringed with pale cream stamens. Below and to the left, loose petals have been laid out to spell the word LOVE, with the flower head itself standing in for the O. The background is a run of weathered timber boards, grooved and lined, washed in flaking grey-blue paint over bare brown wood, with chips and scuffs visible near the edges.
The light is soft and even, so the petals read as clean pink shapes against the cool grey surface. It is a quiet, playful still life: warm pink against worn paint, simple enough to sit in a room without competing with anything else.
Suits a bedroom above a chest of drawers, a hallway, a nursery or a bathroom wall, and works in coastal and cottage rooms where painted timber and linen already appear.
