A tall freestanding arch of red-orange sandstone fills the centre of this portrait photograph. Its layered, weathered surface glows in low sun, with deep shadows pooling on the slickrock ledge in the foreground. The opening in the arch holds a small window of pale sky and a distant ridge of blue mountains.
Behind the arch, banded canyon walls step back in dark green and brown, while the sky above turns slate blue and teal with long streaks of cloud. A few bright white clouds sit low on the horizon at right. The strong contrast and heightened detail give the rock an almost fiery intensity against the cool sky.

The quality of the work is ten out of ten. The piece was affordable and the turnaround time was quite quick. What you see is what you get. I’ll definitely be getting my next painting from Direct Art Australia.
My wife already had a couple of pieces of custom ordered paintings she had collected throughout the last few years and with your large selection to choose from she found the perfect complimentary piece to finish off her room.
