About Golden Gate Span
The Golden Gate Bridge runs from the lower right of the frame into the distance, seen from the Marin shoreline. The near tower stands tall against a graded sky, its international orange steel catching the last light, with suspension cables sweeping down in a long curve to the second tower far off near the horizon. Small gold deck lamps trace the roadway. Below the bridge a rocky headland drops into the bay, with pale boulders and reflections on still water in the foreground.
The sky carries thin pink and mauve cloud bands above a soft apricot glow at the horizon, cooling to steel blue overhead. Distant city lights flicker along the left shoreline. It is a calm, blue-hour photograph where the bridge's orange is the only strong colour in an otherwise muted scene.
