About Golden Glory II
A square composition filled with fern fronds rendered in warm sandy gold. Three main fronds sweep in from the upper right, lower left and bottom edge, their paired leaflets reduced to short rounded shapes with dark outlines. Behind them the background is broken into flat blocks of cobalt blue, deep teal and acid green, with smaller silhouetted fern shapes cut into the colour. Tonal banding gives the surface a screen-printed, posterised look rather than smooth gradients.
The character is graphic and high contrast: botanical subject matter handled like a print poster, where gold leaves read as the light source against cool blue shade. It feels bold and decorative rather than delicate.
Works in a beach house hallway, bathroom or bedroom where blue and green already appear in tiles, linen or cushions. The gold fronds sit well with rattan, brass hardware and pale timber.
