About Golden Morning I
A single broad-crowned tree stands slightly right of centre, its canopy filled with amber and orange leaves that thin towards the edges of the frame so the sky shows through in patches. The trunk is straight and mottled grey-brown, rising from a rough patch of dry golden grass in the foreground. Behind it a narrow band of still water reflects a pale strip of reed beds, and above that the horizon dissolves into a washed, almost white haze with no visible cloud detail.
The mood is quiet and hazy, like early light burning through mist. Everything sits in a narrow band of warm gold and brown, with soft focus at the edges and only the trunk and lower branches holding crisp detail.
Suits a living room above a low sideboard, a bedroom over the bedhead, or a home office wall that needs warmth without strong colour. It works with oatmeal linen, rattan, timber furniture and brass or bronze fittings, and pairs neatly with a second golden landscape print for a matched set.
