About La Fashion II
A single figure stands centred on a warm off-white ground, drawn as a loose watercolour and ink fashion sketch. Her head is tilted slightly, hair indicated by a few dark strokes, with a small earring dash at the jaw. The bodice is one-shouldered and pale grey, gathered at the waist by a darker band. From that waist a full skirt opens outward in washes of soft grey, layered with ruffles that fall in wide curved tiers to the floor.
Fine charcoal pen lines radiate from the sash across the skirt, tracing pleats and edges over the transparent wash. The paper texture shows through, with faint speckles and dry-brush edges where the pigment thins. There is no background detail at all, only the figure and empty cream space around her. The character of the piece is quiet and confident: a few decisive strokes doing all the work, restrained in colour and light on detail.
Suits bedrooms, dressing rooms, walk-in robes and a home office wall. Works with white or pale grey walls, linen bedding and light oak or rattan furniture.
