Two olive trees with dark, twisted trunks and silvery grey-green foliage frame the foreground, standing in dry golden grass. Dabs of red poppies and yellow wildflowers are scattered through the grass, and a band of yellow blooms runs across the middle ground.
Behind them, diagonal rows of purple lavender run toward a small farmhouse with a pale wall and two tall dark cypress trees. Soft hills and pale limestone ridges sit under a blue sky with thin white clouds. The paint is thick and textured, with visible knife-like strokes in the foliage and ridges.
