About Red Lighthouse Dune Path
A sandy footpath rises through low dunes and fills the lower half of the frame, edged on both sides by rough timber post-and-rail fencing that has gone silver-grey with weather. Long marram grass leans over the rails in sage and olive tones, blurred as though moving in wind. At the top right a lighthouse stands above the dune line, its tower bright red with a white gallery and lantern room. The sky is pale blue crossed by broad, soft grey-white cloud.
The treatment is soft and painterly rather than sharp photographic: edges are smudged, the grass is drawn in fine streaks, and a light canvas grain runs through the sky. The overall mood is quiet and windswept, with the single red tower supplying the only strong colour.
Works in a beach house hallway, a bedroom above a bed head, or a living room with linen sofas and pale timber. The sage and sand tones sit well with jute rugs, rattan and whitewashed boards, while the red tower gives a small anchor of colour that suits a home office wall facing a desk.
