About Liquids V Red Wine Pour
A single long-stemmed wine glass tilts across a square frame, caught mid-pour. A dark ribbon of red wine falls from the top edge, strikes the bowl and throws up a crest of crimson liquid that curls back over the rim, with separate droplets suspended in the air beside the glass. The wine pooling in the base glows bright ruby where light passes through it, while the stem and foot taper to a fine silver line. The background is a smooth graduated wash from near-black at the top to pale grey below.
Frozen at a fraction of a second, the image is all contrast: sharp glass edges, liquid shaped like torn silk, and a shadow that fades softly under the foot. It reads as clean, graphic and a little theatrical, with red doing all the work against neutral grey.
Made for dining rooms, bar carts, wine cellars and kitchen walls, especially above a sideboard or buffet. The charcoal-to-grey background suits dark timber tables, black joinery and stainless steel, while the crimson lifts a neutral or white room. Hang it as a square pair with another glassware or food print over a servery. Browse more red art, silver and grey art, multi-coloured art, or read Art above the bed: what size and how high.
