About Mandala Delight II
A single circular mandala fills almost the whole square, centred on a small dark brown medallion ringed with tiny gold spokes. From that centre, rings of scalloped cream petals, olive-green leaf shapes and clover-like motifs expand outward, each ring outlined in fine dark brown. The outermost band opens into broad mustard and ochre petals with pointed tips, their edges traced in gold and finished with a dotted brown line. Behind it all sits a mottled grey-green ground with a chalky, plaster-like mottling and faint darker patches near the corners.
The mandala is symmetrical but not rigid: petal edges wobble slightly, the gold washes vary from pale honey to deep amber, and some leaves are left half-filled so the cream underlayer shows. The overall character is calm and folk-decorative, warm colour held in check by a cool weathered background.
Suits a bedroom above a bed head, a bathroom with timber or rattan touches, or a hallway needing one quiet focal point. The mustard and olive read well against white, sage or greige walls, and it pairs with linen bedding, cane chairs, brass hardware and indoor greenery. Works as a square pair with a second mandala.
