A portrait layout built from bold flat panels. The upper two thirds is yellow with thin blue, red and charcoal lines running diagonally, like track markings. A green band cuts across it carrying the word "GYMNASTICS" in yellow capitals, with "1968" in dark brown below it. A row of eight gymnasts in black leotards, repeated in the same pose, steps down the diagonal with one arm raised.
The gymnasts are cut-out black and white photographs. Below the green band, a woman in a long-sleeved leotard poses on one leg beside a second gymnast mid-leap with her leg lifted high. In the bottom left corner a man in a pale top holds himself on a pommel horse, set against a muted blue block. Down the right edge, a tall orange strip carries "Mexico City" in thin white outlined letters, turned on its side. The speckled paper texture gives it a late 1960s feel.
