About Milky Way at Night
The Milky Way runs diagonally from the upper left corner down to the right side of the frame, a dense band of star clouds shading from cool violet-blue at the top into warm amber and pale cream where the galactic core glows brightest. Thousands of pinpoint stars scatter across the deep navy sky, densest near the band and thinning toward the dark corners. Along the bottom, a low black ridgeline runs flat across the width, with a single twisted tree standing left of centre.
The tree is a complete silhouette: a curving, S-bent trunk leaning right, with a broad flattened canopy of fine leaf clusters that breaks the sky into small gaps of starlight. Ground and horizon hold no detail, so the whole image rests on the contrast between solid black shapes and the luminous grain of the sky. The character is quiet and vast, a single small form set against an enormous night.
Works in a bedroom above the bedhead, in a living room on a dark or charcoal wall, or in a home office where the deep navy reads calm rather than busy. Pairs with black metal frames, brass lamps, linen in oatmeal or slate, and timber furniture. Hang where lighting is low and warm so the amber core stays visible.
