About Misty Lake Coast
A long mountain ridge runs across the lower third of the frame, reduced to a dark silhouette where it meets the water. Cloud rolls down its slopes in soft banks, catching a pale burst of light near the centre of the range. Above, the sky fills most of the image with layered purple and mauve cloud, broken by cream and grey streaks that fan out towards the right edge. The lake below is calm, with fine horizontal ripples carrying gold and rose reflections from the hidden sun.
The mood is quiet and heavy, the kind of light that arrives minutes after sunset when the cloud still holds colour. Detail is soft throughout, with contrast concentrated in the dark ridge line and the single bright reflection on the water.
