About Fruit Contour Lemons
A single continuous black line draws a whole lemon on a plain white ground, its body tilting to the left and tapering to a small nib at the top right, where one long pointed leaf and a smaller bud shape rise from the stem. Overlapping the lower half sits a round lemon slice, drawn as a wobbly double circle with six wedge segments radiating from a small centre. The line runs straight through the fruit behind it, so the two shapes read as transparent outlines rather than solid forms.
The line weight varies from thin to thick where the drawing hesitates, with slight kinks along the lemon's left edge and an uneven, hand-drawn circle around the slice. Generous white space surrounds the composition on all four sides, keeping the fruit small in the frame. The character is quiet and confident: a loose kitchen sketch with no shading, no colour and nothing extra.
Suits kitchens, dining nooks, breakfast bars and cafe-style interiors where the walls are white or pale. It works beside open shelving, timber benchtops and black tapware, and pairs naturally with other black line fruit prints in a two or three piece set above a sideboard or small dining table.
