About Peacock Feather Plumes
Two large peacock feathers cross the canvas on the diagonal, each finished with a rounded eye marking. The upper feather sits top left, its olive and gold barbs fanning outward from a fine dark quill, the eye rendered in ink blue with a bronze-green halo. The second, larger feather sweeps in from the lower right, its eye a deeper cobalt and violet ringed in emerald. Behind them the background is washed in turquoise, buttery yellow and pale cream, with splashes and drip marks left visible at the edges.
The mood is loose and airy: fine linear detail in the feather barbs set against broad, watery colour fields, so the piece reads as botanical study and abstract colour wash at once.
Suits a coastal or beach house living room, a bedroom with white linen and rattan, or a home office wall above a desk. The teal and gold work with natural timber, brass lamps and pale walls, and pair well with green foliage in a ceramic pot or a woven jute rug underfoot.
