About Palm II

A single monstera leaf fills the centre of a plain white field, angled slightly with its stem curving up and to the left past the top edge of the leaf. The blade is deeply cut, with long narrow fingers reaching out on both sides of a dark central rib. Colour runs from deep forest green at the leaf edges to lighter lime and olive through the middle, with patches of clear yellow scattered across the lower fingers and the upper right side.

The washes look translucent, with visible streaks and watermarks where the pigment has pooled and dried unevenly, so each segment has its own tonal shift rather than flat colour. Generous white margins surround the leaf on all four sides. The character is calm and graphic: one plant form, plenty of breathing space, and enough variation in the greens to keep it from looking like a flat silhouette.
