About Rex Smeal Park
Three coconut palms lean out from the right and left of the frame, their fronds splayed against a deep, saturated blue sky that darkens towards the top edge. Below them a mown lawn runs in bright lime green, striped with the long shadows of the trunks. A narrow beach of pale sand and dark rocks meets turquoise shallows on the left, with a small boat on the water and low blue hills on the far horizon. Dense tropical shrubs and a second row of palms fill the right side.
The photograph reads as a clear, high-contrast tropical afternoon, with the strong colour separation between sky, sea and grass giving it a postcard-bright, holiday character.
